Even there are many technology enablers as: Cloud, SDN, NFV, Virtualization, Softwarization, Telcos are missing a reference model to adopt an open converged access domain across multiple access domains irrespective of the type of access – Cable, FTTx, Wireless. This model will reduce the high cost of ownership and operational change to the evolution of network as access technologies. Enabling convergence of multiple access technologies that are open and standardized, reduces vendor lock-in, eases integration and operational management, and improves business agility. This architecture model results in a unified, coordinated, multi-access and multi-vendor converged network. The proposed solution further hastens time to market as standardization across multiple access technologies improves business agility and interoperability across multiple applications and systems
